Doug Scheidecker
Project Engineer
As a project engineer at GPC, I send out submittal requests to our approved contractors. The contractors return them to the project managers for review. Once reviewed, I then send them to our architect for final approval. Once final approval is completed, the submittals are sent to the contractors to order materials for the job.
Background History: I began my career as a carpenter, building houses in Tupelo, Mississippi (Elvis Presley's birthplace). I then moved to Atlanta, Georgia, and worked there as an electrician for ten years. Afterward, I worked as a project manager for Philips Health Care for fifteen years. Eventually, I moved back to Illinois and I am currently working for GPC as a project engineer.
